Synopsis:
In order to raise the money necessary to cover the significant overhead expenses associated with running a theatre, we are having our first Annual Fundraiser, You Can’t Take It With You….So Leave It With Us! This gala event, featuring an exciting show, cast with well-known community leaders, will be held on Saturday, May 7 at the theatre. The event includes a silent auction, a live auction and raffles for great prizes. Click here to learn how to pre-bid on our fabulous live auction items!
The doors will open at 7 pm for finger foods, wine tasting and the silent auction. Wine poured by Grgich Hills Cellar. Finger foods provided by ABC (Alexis Baking Company), First Squeeze, Piccolino's italian Cafe, Raley's and Sweetie Pies.
At 8 pm, our "actors" will take the stage to audition for You Can't Take It With You by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman. You choose the cast from a bevy of community leaders and celebrities – or even an audience member!
The Live Auction will take place during intermission with Dan Monez as auctioneer. Our live auction items include A Private Reception, Twilight Tour and Tasting at Opus One for Six, Dinner for six at Niebaum-Coppola prepared and served by the Napa Firefighters and accompanied by Niebaum-Coppola Estate Wines (food items donated by Vallergas Markets) and a trio of 750ml bottles of 1998 Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon.
The rehearsal process is always an interesting one – watch as the director puts your cast through its paces. Find out who the divas are, beware of backstage romances and enjoy the show!
