Carla would like to thank her mom for the loan of many items, including the park bench (again!) and would like to particularly thank her cast and crew. Without their talent, experience and support she would have never gotten this far.
Corrina has worked backstage at Dreamweavers for quite some time; her last foray was as director for Bus Stop. She has never been one content to rest on her laurels; she’s slated to direct The Vampyre in the fall. In addition, she is on the Dreamweavers Board of Directors as treasurer.
Jessica is very happy to return to Dreamweavers Theatre once again. Her past performances include roles in Bus Stop, Picnic and Steel Magnolias. When she is not on stage or performing as Marilyn Monroe, Jessica is a first grade teacher for Napa Valley Unified School District. Jessica enjoys integrating performing arts into the curriculum. She would like to thank her family and friends as well as the fabulous cast and crew for making this a wonderful experience.
Mark enjoys community theater so much he has committed to his fifth show at Dreamweavers in a calendar year. Some of Mark’s favorite roles include Dr. Lyman in Bus Stop and Arnold Epstein in Biloxi Blues. Mark is committed to further exploration of the artistic process through theater, the development of empathic relationships be they personal, professional or fictional, and considers himself blessed to be able to work with the wonderful people at Dreamweavers Theatre.
Dan returns to the Dreamweavers stage, after a brief hiatus, in the role of Greg. He has done over a dozen stage plays and has played diverse characters ranging from the eccentric Russian ballet teacher Kolinkov in You Can’t Take It With You, to Dr. Einstein in Arsenic and Old Lace, to Professor Van Helsing in Dracula.
Dan says that Greg is the ideal role for a middle-aged actor and admits that in many ways the theater was his Sylvia. Dan thanks Diana for understanding that and supporting his relationship with the stage.
Dan recently retired as Napa’s Police Chief and is now the Executive Director of Napa TV. He and his wife Diana are also frequent guest hosts on KVON radio.
Acting is one of Krisi’s favorite hobbies. She has been performing with Dreamweavers since 2001. She is very excited and grateful to be included in such a high powered cast. Participating in a play enables you to create wonderful relationships with the Director, Stage Manager, Cast and Crew; relationships that cannot be duplicated in any other setting. Taking the words of the play and building them into a powerful statement both emotionally and verbally is very rewarding. The relationships that are formed grow to be a family bond of sharing and cheering of each other’s accomplishments, whether large or small. It is a wonderful experience. Krisi would like to thank her friends and the love of her life, Joe, for putting up with the nonstop talking about Sylvia for the past six months.
Robert is a native Napan with an intense love of the arts. He first began acting at the age of fifteen in a Children's Theater production of Annie. Later, he would study drama at Napa High, as well as perform in The Music Man. His Dreamweavers roles include Carl (the bus driver) in Bus Stop and Hennesey in Biloxi Blues. In addition to his work in the theater, he is also an active local musician. Occasionally, he may be found wandering the streets pondering his existence, but mainly he's a laid back guy.
Sylvia is Rose Marie's sixth Dreamweavers production. Other homestate venues include Contra Costa Christian Theatre, Benicia Old Towne Theatre Group, Napa Valley Community College and the MIRA Theatre Guild in Vallejo. Sadly, Rose Marie has no life outside theater and must constantly audition to maintain some slight level of sanity.
